Bible Publishers Sued Over 'Homosexual' Verses
It was only a matter of time. With new hate crimes laws making their way through congress - A homosexual man has filed a $70 million lawsuit against Bible publishers Zondervan and Thomas Nelson. He is alleging that the verses that refer to homosexuality in these versions is a violation of his constitutional rights and has caused him emotional distress. He is seeking $60 million from Zondervan and $10 million from Thomas Nelson Publishing. Many Christians fear that their pastors could come under arrest if they preach from certain texts of the Bible if it is found that such teaching was viewed as hate by the new laws.
Anglicans ready to jump ship
Anglican leaders are threatening to depart the Anglican Church in large numbers if it continues down the path of accepting Homosexual and Woman Leadership. In what is being considered a return to the fold by some, those departing our looking to Rome. One Bishop going so far as to suggest that there can be no future for Christianity in Europe without Rome. Although the Anglican church is the officially recognized
religion under British Law, some are suggesting these moves are leading to the dissolution of the Church of England, which Queen Elizabeth is the head. Thus such changes could result in
significant changes to the legal structure of England. Some fear it could mean Britain will become officially a secular nation.
Pastor teaches his church a lesson in humility
Teaching kindness to others is sometimes better seen than heard. To demonstrate this point Pastor Rigby came to church this Sunday dressed up as a scruffy tramp. Smelling of garbage and dressed in rags, many did their best to
ignore him. When Pastor Rigby removed his wig to reveal his true identity, more than a few were
embarrassed and felt rather awkward that they had become part of a modern parable teaching them of what not to do. Rigy reminded his congregation of the importance of
recognizing the work of God in each other and not to forget about caring for those in need.
Feast of Trumpets celebration Is a Dress Rehearsal
This fall, Pastor Mark Biltz wants Christians to remember their Jewish Roots.
