Christian World News As Seen On Prophecy News Watch:
Arab Evangelist Targeted By Al Qaeda For Preaching Gospel To Muslims
Father Zakaria Botros is not well known to most in the Western World. However, he is considered one of the most viewed and
effective Arab Evangelists in the world. His focus is on reaching the Muslim world for Christ and he is not afraid of controversy. So much so that
Muslim radicals have put a price on his head. Why are Arab radicals so concerned about this individual? Botros is directly challenging the claims of Muhammad to be a prophet and that the Qu'ran is not God's Word. Instead he points people to Jesus Christ as the only way to Salvation. In the Muslim world - that is as dangerous as it gets.
Bible Societies Distribute Almost 30 Million Bibles annually
The growth of Bible distribution worldwide had increased almost 5% in recent years as people eagerly gobble up the timeless book. Additional New Testaments and select protions of scripture reading were also distributed bringing the total number of biblical pieces distributed close to 300 million. The greatest increase was in the Southern hemisphere where churches are growing rapidly. Increased translation tools have made producing more non-english Bible's possible for many of the smaller and more remote people groups. Translation experts believe it is only a matter of years before every known language in the world will have access to the Word of God. Online Bible's are also increased use as more and more of the world's community comes online.
World ignores persecution of Christians in India's Orissa state
Christian persecution ignored in India's Orissa
Despite ongoing persecution that has left many dead and others homeless, the world continues to turn a blind eye to the persecuted Christians of India's Orissa state. Hindu fanatics increased their violence against Christians after a leader in their anti-Christian party was murdered, most blaming the countries Christian minority. Mission
organizations such as Gospel for Asia have shared many of the individual stories of people who have been victims of the violence. Courageously, many of these Christians say they will not stop spreading the gospel and doing good for their fellow citizens even to the point of death.
There are few media outlets willing to report on Christian World News
stories such as this but you can help get the word out.
