A series of green traffic signals along the pride parade route in Edinburgh have been replaced with a range of diversity images.

Four designs have been created to represent lesbian, gay, trans and straight relationships, using recognized gender symbols on 35 lights.

For the third year in a row, Oklahoma City Public Schools plans to participate in the upcoming homosexual and transgender pride parade, and is inviting students and their parents to walk along the school bus that will be a part of the procession.  Many parents expressed anger that taxpayer funds are being used for the event as well as concerns that many pride parades are not appropriate for younger students.

The event is described as a "pride celebration designed by teens for teens" and the "most rainbow filled fun you can imagine." It includes activities like open mic and karaoke. Other activities listed are presentations on "safer" sex, a drag show, an "advice panel," and a "free binder raffle." The event page says that Saturday's gathering is "suitable" for tweens and teens, meaning ages 10 to 19. Planned Parenthood will be providing the sex ed programs for the event.

Transgender-identifying females insist that the practice of binding to flatten their breasts helps them appear masculine and that it's vital to their mental health and well-being.

Listed on the bottom of a poster advertising the Teen Pride event at the Renton Library are notable sponsors like Chase Bank and the Why Not You Foundation, which was founded by Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.

A Baptist pastor was arrested and jailed after refusing to move across the street from the Spokane, Washington Public Library while exercising his free speech against a “Drag Queen Story Hour.” The event had a significant militaristic police presence, including camouflaged snipers positioned atop the roof to oversee the large crowd that stood both for and against the men dressed like women reading stories to children.

Academic says, people should be allowed to change their legal age if it doesn’t correspond with their “experienced age”

A Finish bioethicist has argued that people should be allowed to change their legal age if it differs from their experiential age.

In an essay published in the Journal of Medical Ethics, Joona Räsänen, from the University of Oslo, set out three cases in which an individual should be legally permitted to make themselves younger or older.

Räsänen argued that age-changing should be permitted in three instances: First, if the person “genuinely feels his age differs significantly from his chronological age.”

Second, if the person’s “biological age is recognized to be significantly different from his chronological age.”

And third, if “age change would likely prevent, stop and reduce ageism, discrimination due to age, he would otherwise face.”

If you can change your biological gender, then why not your biological age?

Piers Morgan was left baffled by a US woman who identifies as an elf - with the outspoken host even trying to speak "Elven" on today's Good Morning Britain.

Kimberel Eventide spoke about her life as a "trans-species" elf woman who is married a to a human man.

Kimberel explained: "I consider myself an Elvin-kin, which is an otherkin that feels more like an elf.

"Otherkins are those souls that have a human body but their soul belongs to some other species. It is far more than just cosplay - it is a way of life.

"It's not about the ears, it's who you are in the inside and how you carry yourself - but ears do make it fun."
