Although wood prices have substantially increased over the last year, it's often still a cheaper alternative to electric heating. Political Unrest There are all sorts of political issues going on left and right throughout the world. Many of them don't show any signs of slowing down in the near future, and in fact, we see indications of places like China and Ukraine only getting worse. Besides international political unrest, we also have political unrest in our own backyard. The United States is more divided as ever as we find ourselves with dramatically opposing viewpoints regarding everything from gender to vaccinations. It's important to prepare yourself for plenty of disagreements as 2023 kicks off. Recession Statistics show that a significant number of Americans are struggling financially. As many as one out of three families say that they're going to spend considerably less money on Christmas this year than they did in 2021. As more and more people find themselves financially struggling, the fewer people will be inclined to go out and spend money. Many financial experts believe that not only are we in a recession but we will find ourselves deeper into a recession as 2023 rolls in.
