5. Liverpool 4, Barcelona 0 (2019)

Liverpool's marvelous comeback at Anfield will be remembered as one of the most memorable scenes in Champions League history.

In a game defying logic, Liverpool overturned a 3-0 deficit until Divock Origi scored on the end of Trent Alexander-brilliant Arnold's corner, knocking out a shell-shocked Barcelona club.

Although Liverpool went on to win their sixth European title after defeating Tottenham in the final, the enthralling night at Anfield will be remembered as the highlight of their title-winning journey.

4. Real Madrid 4, Atletico Madrid 1 (2014)

Atletico Madrid were moments away from capturing their first Champions League trophy, while their arch opponents were still waiting for their tenth European triumph.

Then, in the 2014 final, calamity struck for Atleti.

After failing to score evenly, Real Madrid finally came through in the third minute of halt time thanks to a header by Sergio Ramos.

The goal appeared to ignite Carlo Ancelotti's players, as they went on to dominate Atletico, scoring three more goals in extra time to win La Decima. The 4-1 result understated their performance, but Ramos' goal set up the historic victory.

3. Barcelona 6, PSG 1 (2017)

Nobody gave Barcelona an opportunity after they were thrashed 4-0 in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 match against PSG in 2017. Luis Suarez scored just three minutes into the second leg, before an own goal and a Lionel Messi penalty gave the Camp Nou fans hope. However, following an Edinson Cavani goal, the job appeared to be insurmountable once more.

That's when Neymar - and not Messi - took control.

He tied the game 5-5 on sum total with a penalty and then set up Sergi Roberto for the 95th-minute winner, capping off a comeback that will be remembered in Catalonia for generations.

2. Germany 7, Brazil 1 (2014)

Brazil's sole goal throughout the 2014 World Cup was to win football's most prized trophy on home turf. It was their destiny, according to Selecao supporters.

But Germany had different ideas in a bizarre semifinal in Belo Horizonte, as Joachim Low's team created one of the most unexpected World Cup upsets in history. As the German goals proceeded to pour in, so did the anguish from stunned, crushed, and angry Brazilian fans. It turned out to be one of the most emotional nights in Brazilian history, just not in the way the country expected.

1. Manchester City 3, Queens Park Rangers 2 (2012)

A more heartbreaking and dramatic conclusion to the 2011-12 Premier League season could not have been written by Hollywood's best.

When Manchester City hosted QPR on the season’s last day, the stage was set for them to win their first Premier League title since 1968. However, as QPR looked to be on the verge of a big shock, Roberto Mancini's side were in danger of losing the Premier League crown to rivals Manchester United.

However, a persistent onslaught ultimately dispelled worries of a meltdown for the generations, as Sergio Aguero followed up Edin Dzeko's draw with one of the most intense scenes in football history, scoring the game-winner in the 94th minute to throw the Etihad Stadium into pandemonium.
